[Q&A] Can someone other than the buyer fill out the 4473 if they are physically unable to?

Section A should be completed by the buyer along with their signature certifying their answers to be complete and true.  If the buyer is unable to fill out the form without assistance because they are unable to read and/or write it themselves, then someone other than the seller can fill it out for them.  If this happens, two witnesses are required to sign and date the 4473 in blocks 14 & 15 but these two people can not be the seller or his employees.

Regardless, if the buyer fills out the form or someone assists them with it, they must sign the form themselves, without exception.
